音乐生涯的起点：1996-1997年

黄翠珊的音乐旅程始于1996年，当时她26岁，参加了无线电视举办的全球华人歌唱比赛澳洲赛区并获得冠军。这次胜利为她赢得了与嘉音唱片的签约机会。1997年，她以艺名黄浩诗（ジャネール・ウォン）正式进入香港及日本流行乐坛。同年9月3日，她在日本推出了首张粤语大碟《Introducing》。专辑封面展示了浓厚的日本都市气息，唱片公司在宣传上将她定位为日本本地歌手进行推广。然而，这张专辑未能在市场上获得预期的成功。其后，由于唱片公司波丽佳音撤离香港业务，黄翠珊也随之解约，第二张录制中的专辑因此未能面世。

走红与突破：2002-2004年

2002年，黄翠珊在音乐制作人叶建华的引荐下，重新踏上音乐舞台，并推出了发烧英语专辑《Close To You》。这张专辑尽管没有大规模的宣传，但销量依然达到了双白金，且连续多周位居HMV爵士乐畅销榜冠军。专辑的成功不仅在香港取得了佳绩，还远销至新加坡、马来西亚、泰国及日本等地，为她在音响界赢得了广泛的关注和好评，奠定了她在音乐界的地位。

音乐风格的拓展与深化：2007年至今

2007年，黄翠珊加入香港唱片公司Evolution Music Group，并于8月发行了她的第一张专辑《Someone Like You》。这张专辑在美国纳许维尔录制，并迅速在东南亚地区取得了商业上的成功。此后，她在瑞士日内瓦与监制Adrien Zerbini合作，录制了第二张专辑《511》。专辑中收录了多首Bossa Nova风格的经典歌曲，如Michael Jackson的《Billie Jean》和Hall & Oates的《Everytime You Go Away》。其中，《Billie Jean》在东南亚地区广受欢迎，其在YouTube上的一个版本观看次数超过了370万次。
